Maybe one day I'll learn how to fix this problem. Maybe not.

This section of the site redirects to a real photo of a burger that is so gross it has caused people genuine nausea and disgust. If expired or poorly made food makes you ill, you should probably leave it to the imagination.

You're welcome.

You Won't Be Going Home For A Long, Long Time.
So, you want to join Visionary, but might not know where to start?Well, to be completely honest with you, it's a lot easier than a lot of people think! Visionary is an open AU. Literally anybody can join, keeping in mind the following criteria.
Your character cannot directly impact someone else's character unless all admins involved are on the same page
There can not be duplicates of canon characters within Visionary AU specifically. Visionary is multiversal, so you can have characters from alternate worlds, but they'd need a good reason to end up in Visionary's main universe.
If you have a character that you would like to make extremely powerful, limitations need to be discussed with me (Birdie) to ensure their existence doesn't conflict with the backbone of Visionary's world building.
The easiest possible way to join Visionary is through OCs. Visionary's side stories are incredibly OC heavy, and it gives room for writers to use their original character in a space they may actually get interactions, whereas they might not have had that opportunity previously. If you choose to opt for a canon character, with Visionary having existed for over a year, a lot of them are taken. Ideally, one day, I'll have an updated list of who is or isn't taken yet, but that's a lot of keeping up with, so until then it's best to again, just ask me personally, and I'll help you figure something out.Oc or not, you'll have to talk to me or a co writer before your character can be officially added to the story. I approve pretty much everybody. If an idea you have won't work for whatever reason, I'll help you find one that does. No pressure at all!
Once you have a character approved for Visionary, there's a few ways to hit the ground running.First of all, you do not need to be an artist or have a drive. A lot of people run their accounts with nothing but a picrew pfp of their character. As long as you got a name and a story, you're good to go!The easiest possible way to start getting involved from that point is by joining a faction.
but I'll give a short description of them on this page as well as a simple recap.
The Restoration - Good position for well intentioned characters, or alternatively, an easy way to get involved with the main cast. As of right now, The Restoration is conditional for entering due to the story revolving around that location (Factions page explains this more), but this won't be the case for much longer, as I'll be expanding the faction soon.
The Eggman Empire - The heart of all evil and suffering. Whether you want to write a relentlessly cruel, cartoonishly cruel, or otherwise unfortunate victim, the Empire is the place to be. Most off screen conflict and drama happens here, so it's good to be in if you want a lot of activity.
Clean Slate - All things morally gray. Characters in this faction are likely to look out for themselves or have shaky morals. This is a good faction to be in if your character would otherwise be an outcast, or if you want an environment to pioneer your own events, as members in Clean Slate have a lot more free will than any other faction.
Cultivar Foundation (Limited Time) - The Cultivar Foundation is a Visionary-exclusive faction with no standing in canon Sonic lore, whose entire existence is fixed around the care and containment of children with unstable or easily exploitable powers. Former experiments of the empire, or those born with unstable powers with no support system. Cultivar is very structured, with characters usually paired child-to-mentor, but it's a good place to be if you want to dip your toes far from the main plot. . . For now. It's important that I note that the plot of Visionary has it written that the Cultivar Foundation may soon fall, so getting a character in this faction won't always be an option.
You do not have to commit yourself to a faction in order to play a character, but if you're opting for the OC route, it's especially recommended.Factions function through in-character groupchats and roleplay hosted in the official Visionary Discord. However, it is usually customary for muses to have their own accounts on twitter to post about relevant happenings. Admins may opt to use Twitter to post edits within the Visionary universe or make public events happening within their factions, though this is not necessary if you only want the interactions and nothing else.
So, with all that said, that is literally all there is to it. In our server, there's also channels designated for other members to help each other answer questions and set up new characters, so if you're hesitant to reach out to me specifically, you can always start there.
Regardless, if you'd like to get started, you can reach out to me personally on Twitter:
